So I just found out yesterday that the cover I just finished for Lauralynn Elliott’s Loving the Dead and the UnDead is the 3000th (that’s right there are 3 zeroes there) that cover model Jimmy Thomas is on.
I am beyond excited. I mean besides that the man is the best eye-candy I’ve ever had the pleasure to look at. **drooling here** (where’s my drool cloth…heehee) He is also the sweetest guy out there in the romance novel community. He informed me that the cover I just did was his 3000th and that he was going to plaster it everywhere! So now it’s on his Facebook page and his website that he has setup RomanceNovelCenter.com so thousands of people are now seeing MY cover!
I’ve already had another person interested in me doing a cover for them based on him posting the cover so this looks like it might help me win over some new clients! I also hope that it will boost the sales of Lauralynn’s books as well. How cool is that!
Who knows maybe I have a chance yet of this becoming my full time job. Although like they say if you love what you do then it’s not really a “job” is it?
Ok going to go do some more happy dancing! WooHoo!!!!

When Tara Reed inherits her grandmother’s house, she shudders at the ugly lawn ornaments she finds, one which is even politically incorrect. Although she plans to eventually get rid of them, she decides to leave them until her friends come for a visit so they can all have a laugh. Little does she know there’s much more to these statues, and to her family, than she can imagine. When the sheriff, Jake Tyler, tells her the circumstances surrounding her grandmother’s death, she begins to wonder if there’s something strange going on at her house. When her friends come for a visit, Tara realizes they are all being hunted by something supernatural. Tara and her friends fight for their lives in this tale of magic and horror. Will any of them survive the creatures that have been brought to life by one man’s selfish purposes? Will the sheriff be able to save Tara, or will she have to depend on herself for survival? Find out in this chilling story of terror, friendship, and love.
This is a long novella of approximately 39,660 words.
Lauralynn, known for her paranormal romances, has a new book coming out that is a different genre for her. She considers it to be “light” horror. I have had the opportunity to beta read this newest book and if you like suspense, mystery, horror and some paranormal elements then check it out once it’s released. It will be available on Amazon, Smashwords and Barnes and Noble soon.
Now for the cover. I really enjoyed creating this cover. Let me know what you think!

So here’s where Lauralynn Elliott and I were this past weekend.
I love this place. We didn’t have a lot of time to check out everything since we were on a business trip but the atmosphere is wonderful! Check out Lauralynn’s latest post here for her “ghostly” experience in the tapestry room.
We stayed at the Inn on Biltmore estate as well. This is a beautiful place! And everyone was so friendly and helpful.
The food was great too! I actually dragged Lauralynn to eat in a horse stall at the Stable Cafe…heehee. We had a pimento cheese dip appetizer that was out of this world. Yum!
We also ate at Cedric’s Tavern in Antler Village right next to the hotel where we stayed. I loved the atmosphere is this place and the vegetable beef soup I had was wonderful! Oh and did I mention the rolls with mustard butter? Oh my gosh!
We are planning a trip back in the Spring or Summer to see all the beautiful flowers that are all dormant right now. This was Lauralynn’s first trip to the Biltmore and I think she is looking forward to returning when we have more time to explore the whole estate.
If you are near Asheville, NC or going to be in that area sometime make sure you go and visit the Biltmore. It is truly an amazing place to take in.
