My Cover Design is Jimmy Thomas’ 3000th cover!   2 comments

So I just found out yesterday that the cover I just finished for Lauralynn Elliott’s Loving the Dead and the UnDead is the 3000th (that’s right there are 3 zeroes there) that cover model Jimmy Thomas is on.

I am beyond excited.  I mean besides that the man is the best eye-candy I’ve ever had the pleasure to look at. **drooling here** (where’s my drool cloth…heehee) He is also the sweetest guy out there in the romance novel community.  He informed me that the cover I just did was his 3000th and that he was going to plaster it everywhere!  So now it’s on his Facebook page and his website that he has setup RomanceNovelCenter.com so thousands of people are now seeing MY cover!

I’ve already had another person interested in me doing a cover for them based on him posting the cover so this looks like it might help me win over some new clients!  I also hope that it will boost the sales of Lauralynn’s books as well.  How cool is that!

Who knows maybe I have a chance yet of this becoming my full time job.  Although like they say if you love what you do then it’s not really a “job” is it? ;)

Ok going to go do some more happy dancing!  WooHoo!!!!

Cover Reveal – Loving the Dead and the UnDead by Lauralynn Elliott   1 comment

Just finished the final cover for Lauralynn Elliott’s newest compilation of her first three novellas.  Loving the Dead and the UnDead includes “Club Blood”, “See Me” and “Guardian Vampire”.  Since the main male characters in these three stories are ghosts and vampires Lauralynn and I joked about calling it Loving the Dead and the UnDead.  She posted about it on her blog and everyone really loved the title so it stuck. ;)

This cover I believe is one of my favorites!  It has the fabulous Jimmy Thomas on the cover!  Go ahead you can drool, I have a drool cloth handy. ;)

So without further ado……here’s the cover!

This will be in available soon in paperback from Amazon.

Will any of them survive the creatures that have been brought to life by one man’s selfish purposes? Will the sheriff be able to save Tara, or will she have to depend on herself for survival? New Cover Art for Vampires’ Curse by Lauralynn Elliott   Leave a comment

Vampires’ Curse by Lauralynn Elliott

Vampires' Curse - Libby Fox Trilogy

This is a trilogy of all of Lauralynn’s novellas in the Libby Fox series.  This was a great cover to design.  I’m thinking this is one of my favorites so far of those I have designed.

Below are descriptions from each novella in the trilogy.

Dark Relic - Vampires’ Curse

Libby Fox is just a regular private investigator, snooping on cheating business partners and wayward husbands. That is, until Adam Ryder walks into her office and asks her to find a missing person. Before she even gets a chance to do much investigating, it turns out that the missing person has been kidnapped to force a trade for a beautiful and dangerous artifact, and Libby’s job description changes to hostage exchange. But there is more to her client than she could possibly have realized, and Libby is drawn into a world darker than she dreamed had existed. Now she’s torn between the feelings she’s beginning to have for Adam, and the fact that he lives in a world she’s not sure she can be a part of.

Secrets of the Wolf

While private investigator, Libby Fox, is still trying to wrap her mind around the fact that vampires exist and that she actually has feelings for one of them, she’s drawn into yet another case where there’s more to her client that meets the eye. When Blake Harding walks into her office, hiring her to find a secret book very important to his family, Libby has no idea of the danger involved. She learns that there are things out there more dangerous than vampires as she searches for the Secrets of the Wolf.

Search for the Vampires’ Curse

The third and final novella of the Libby Fox Series, Search for the Vampires’ Curse, takes Libby, Adam, and friends from the bayous of Louisiana to the rain forest in Brazil. In this story, the search for the deadly cross introduced in book one continues. Meanwhile, Libby and Adam continue to question whether or not a relationship between them is possible. Will Libby take a chance and ignore her fears, or will she let Adam go for good? Find out the answers in the conclusion of the Libby Fox series.

If you haven’t read any of the Libby Fox series yet this is the best way to buy it!  Be sure to pick your copy at your favorite eBook seller.

Fun weekend!   9 comments

So here’s where Lauralynn Elliott and I were this past weekend.

I love this place.  We didn’t have a lot of time to check out everything since we were on a business trip but the atmosphere is wonderful!  Check out Lauralynn’s latest post here for her “ghostly” experience in the tapestry room.

We stayed at the Inn on Biltmore estate as well.  This is a beautiful place!  And everyone was so friendly and helpful.

The food was great too!  I actually dragged Lauralynn to eat in a horse stall at the Stable Cafe…heehee.  We had a pimento cheese dip appetizer that was out of this world.  Yum!

We also ate at Cedric’s Tavern in Antler Village right next to the hotel where we stayed.  I loved the atmosphere is this place and the vegetable beef soup I had was wonderful! Oh and did I mention the rolls with mustard butter?  Oh my gosh!

Rolls with mustard butter....oh wow!

We are planning a trip back in the Spring or Summer to see all the beautiful flowers that are all dormant right now.  This was Lauralynn’s first trip to the Biltmore and I think she is looking forward to returning when we have more time to explore the whole estate.

If you are near Asheville, NC or going to be in that area sometime make sure you go and visit the Biltmore.  It is truly an amazing place to take in.
